  • America's Career InfoNet This site displays occupational information to assist you in your employment search and increase your overall understanding of the job market.
  • America's Job Bank The America’s Job Bank computerized network links state Employment Service offices to provide job seekers with the largest pool of active job opportunities available anywhere and nationwide exposure for their resumes. For employers it provides rapid, national exposure for job openings and an easily accessible pool of candidates. In addition to the Internet, the job openings and resumes found in America’s Job Bank are available on computer systems in public libraries, college and universities, high school, shopping malls, transition offices on military bases worldwide and other places of public access.
  • America's Labor Market Information System ALMIS offers more than information for the planning of employment and training programs.  ALMIS offers direct access by anyone--employers, job seekers or students--to state-of-the-art information services.  In the same way that One-Stop Career Centers provide one-stop access to services, ALMIS offers one-stop access to information.
  • America's Learning Exchange America's Learning eXchange (ALX) connects users to career development, training and education, and employment resources important to remain competitive in today's workforce.
  • Bureau of the Census  To be the preeminent collector and provider of timely, relevant, and quality data about the people and economy of the United States. Our Goal is to provide the best mix of timeliness, relevancy, quality, and cost for the data we collect and services we provide.
  • Bureau of Economic Analysis The mission of BEA is to produce and disseminate accurate, timely, relevant, and cost-effective economic accounts statistics that provide government, businesses, households, and individuals with a comprehensive, up-to-date picture of economic activity. BEA's national, regional, and international economic accounts present basic information on such key issues as U.S. economic growth, regional economic development, and the Nation's position in the world economy.
  • Bureau of Labor Statistics  The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) is the principal fact-finding agency for the Federal Government in the broad field of labor economics and statistics. The BLS is an independent national statistical agency that collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates essential statistical data to the American public, the U.S. Congress, other Federal agencies, State and local governments, business, and labor. The BLS also serves as a statistical resource to the Department of Labor. 
  • COBRA Continuation of Coverage The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) today announced a new Web site (www.ContinuationCoverage.net) and helpline (1-866-400-6689) where certain unemployed workers may request expedited review of a denial by their former employers of eligibility for COBRA premium assistance under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
  • U.S. Department of Labor The U.S. Department of Labor is charged with preparing the American workforce for new and better jobs, and ensuring the adequacy of America's workplaces.
  • NASWA The National Association of State Workforce Agencies is the national organization of state administrators of unemployment insurance, employment and training services, and labor market information programs in the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
  • IAWP (formerly IAPES) The International Association of Workplace Professionals is a worldwide organization of professionals employed in public and non-profit programs that provide Employment Services, Unemployment Insurance, Labor Market Information, Job Training and a variety of services related to the workforce needs of citizens, businesses and organizations.
  • ITSC The Information Technology Support Center (ITSC) is a collaboration of state employment security agencies, the Department of Labor (DOL), and private sector partners.  The ITSC is dedicated to advancing the appropriate application of information technology, which states may adopt, to provide more accurate, efficient, cost effective, and timely service for unemployment insurance customers.
  • Trade Adjustment (TAA) To assist individuals who became unemployed as a result of foreign imports to return to suitable employment. Suitable employment is defined as being work of a substantially equal or higher skill level than the person's past adversely affected employment, and which pays not less than 80 percent of his/her previous employment.

  • Department of  Labor  It is primarily a regulatory agency concerned with employer-employee job related issues. They include occupational safety and health of employees, wage and hour, child labor, apprenticeship and workers' compensation. Additionally, the Department assists both labor and management in the areas of job training, job creation, market surveys and providing technical resource centers. The Department also provides bargaining table and grievance mediation services.
  • Kentucky State Data Center Since 1981, the KSDC and its 75-member affiliate network has provided training and technical assistance in accessing and using Census data for research, administration, planning, and decision making by the government, the business community, university researchers, and other interested data users. The State Data Center Program is a cooperative effort among the the University of Louisville, the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the U.S. Census Bureau.
